We want you to receive your garment + dance with joy, not be looking at it with a sense of disappointment. If an item does not work out for you, we gladly offer returns within 14 days of receiving your package. We will work with you to make a new garment with the perfect fit.
If you prefer to exchange for a different style, we would love to get to know you a little better and suggest an alternate garment more suitable for you.
We encourage you to read through the sections below before heading to our returns portal - so that you can make the best decision for you.
What are my options?
At Cedar and Vine, we're committed to providing you with impeccable linen clothing, tailored to your measurements and lifestyle. If a garment or homeware item doesn't work out for you, we want to make it right! When using our return portal to send back a garment, you will be prompted to specify your return reason. Please indicate whether you would like to do a direct exchange or store credit:
You can choose to exchange your garment for a different size and/or color of the same style.
We can customize sizing on your exchange. Should you have any special requests or further customization needs, simply reach out to us, and we will personally assist you in finding the ideal solution.
If a direct exchange is indicated, we will get it in our system so that we can send out the exchange when we receive your original garment back.
If a garment you ordered doesn't meet your expectations, or the style just isn't right for you - our team is here to help. We value our relationship with you and will work closely to understand your preferences so that we can recommend alternative garments that are better suited to your style and needs.
For eligible returns, store credit will be issued in the form of a digital gift card that never expires once we receive your garment back to the studio. If a direct exchange is not specified, we will automatically send out store credit when we receive your return.

Eco Drop for Domestic Returns
We are taking the initiative to make our returns process substantially more eco-friendly. We are using a new EcoDrop method to return items, and you can play a role in helping us reduce our footprint. Our returns portal will prompt you through the steps below:
- Fill out Order # and Postal Code/Zip Code
- Choose the items you want to return and why you are returning them
- If your item is eligible, you will have two options to ship your package back:
- Classic Return: Download your label now. Please select this option if your garment has been customized.
- ECODROP RETURN: Hold onto your package for up to 7 days while we find the most eco-friendly destination for your package. If the returned package and item is rated 4/5 quality once received, you will be rewarded with a 15% discount off your next order. Packaging the item in perfect, re-sellable condition can dramatically increase the circularity of the item. A label will be sent to you in no more than 7 days.
Please drop off your item at the nearest Canada Post within 5 days of receiving your label. Taking over 5 days may result in losing refunds and any eligible discount codes. Your refund will be processed once the item is received and inspected.
US and International Returns
We have the same return policy for our valued customers across the border. Our current return portal does not support creating international shipping labels so parcels must be sent back to us via mail. Please follow the steps below:
- Repackage the parcel. Include your order number in or on the package. Indicate whether you would like to do a direct exchange or exchange for store credit.
- When filling out the customs form **MARK THE PARCEL AS RETURNED GOODS** This is a crucial step in us being able to receive the garments back to our studio.

Once we receive your parcel back, we will either send out your exchange or issue store credit. If nothing is specified, we will automatically issue store credit.

Who covers return shipping?
Domestic returns: We believe in making the return process hassle-free for you. We will cover the cost of return shipping, ensuring that you can shop with confidence.
US and International returns: We are actively working on a more seamless system. Our current return portal does not yet have the capability to create international return shipping labels so the return shipping will be the responsibility of the customer.
How do I know if my garment qualifies to be returned?
We do encourage you to wear your new garment(s) around your home for a few hours when you receive them, to test the fit and get a feel for how the linen fibers "relax" with wear before deciding if the garment is the right fit.
To qualify for a return, the garment must be in "like new" condition, enabling us to find a loving home for it. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping the garments in excellent shape.
In addition to the condition of the garment; provided the return process is initiated within 14 days of receiving your order, you are in the clear. If you need more time please reach out to email@example.com or submit a request below.
Do you provide cash refunds?
Our made-for-you process ensures that each garment is crafted exclusively for you, based on your specific measurements. As a result, offering full refunds or exchanges for custom-made garments is challenging, as they are uniquely tailored to your preferences.
If our clothes don't exceed your expectations in both fit and comfort, we will work for free to make it right. If for some reason we cannot find a solution, we offer cash refunds as a last resort.
We highly discourage customers from ordering multiple garments with the intent to return for refund. This goes against our slow fashion philosophy and is not a sustainable business model. We appreciate your understanding.
If I choose a direct exchange; do I have to wait an additional 3 weeks for the exchange item to be made - from the time the return is received back to your studio?
If you choose a direct exchange, we will get your exchange order in our system right away.
This way we get a head start on preparing your order so that we can ship it out soon after we receive your return back.
If your original item wasn't customized, we encourage you to select the eco-drop option to return your item (domestic orders only). This gives us time to prepare your exchange, while also making our returns process more eco-friendly.
