Fabric Care
Fabric CareWe recommend washing and drying your linen fabric before using it for any sewing projects.
All linen will undergo shrinkage the first time it is washed. Not only will this ensure that your garment (or project) will fit properly after it is laundered, it often makes the fabric softer and nicer to work with as well. Give the fabric a quick press after washing to smooth it out before laying down your pattern pieces and cutting them out. You may want to zigzag or serge the raw edge before laundering, to prevent excessive fraying.
If fabric is pre-washed before creating your project, it makes caring for your linen easy! You can machine wash in cold or warm water with gentle detergent. Tumble drying on a low setting helps soften the linen further.

Fabric Size Info- Sold by the 1/2 meter. If you need a total of 3 meters for your project, select a quantity of 6. We will cut your material in one continuous piece, unless otherwise requested.

It is important to embrace the organic charm of linen, which may feature natural imperfections in its weave such as slubs, nubs, and occasional traces of organic matter. Unlike synthetic fibers or finely woven cotton, linen celebrates individuality and character over perfection.
Derived from the cellulose fibers of flax plant stalks, linen is a pure creation of nature, exhibiting unique variations in color and texture influenced by seasonal growing conditions. These variations persist even after processing and dyeing, with color discrepancies occurring between dye lots. To ensure consistency across multiple projects, we recommend ordering all required yardage at once for a continuous cut from the same bolt.

We do not offer returns or exchanges on cut fabric. If you are unsure of color, we recommend ordering our linen swatch book or a 1/2 meter to test out first.
