Why we love our linen
With linen being lightweight, breathable, moisture-wicking, and thermoregulating we can all agree that it is at the top of its game when it comes to comfort. This natural fiber ebbs and flows with the way our bodies naturally change—so you’ll love how it feels today and years down the line.
Like fine wine & cheese - it gets better with age. Linen is known as the world's strongest natural fibre, thus making linen products very long-lasting. It won't lose its shape after washing, but rather will become softer and get better with age.
Both our garment and home linen fabrics have a weight of 240gsm, making them durable for everyday use.
Linen fabric can be machine washed in cold or warm water and then tumbled dry on low or hung to dry naturally. (Tumble drying helps soften the linen.) Linen fabric has a reputation of having to be ironed to look good, and this couldn't be further from the truth. High-quality linen is wrinkly… and that is part of its natural beauty and charm. Our Linen Spray is a great way to freshen up and soften wrinkles on natural fiber garments and bed linens — and it's especially handy for traveling.
Linen is widely known as a fabric to help keep you cool; its lightweight, breathable and moisture wicking, making it an obvious summer choice. Did you know that this same cooling fabric can also keep you warm in the chillier months? Linen will retain the heat from your body and release the excess which helps keep you cozy and comfortable.
Linen fabric has an innate ability to compliment every occasion, whether that be for dressing up, or for a more low-key look. We pride ourselves on designing with intention, layering and versatility in mind. We don't want your favorite garments to be restricted to a certain season or occasion of wear. Go ahead and have fun styling - there are no rules!
Flax plant cultivation is by far more sustainable than that of cotton, making linen a smart choice right off the get-go. Linen fabric is also recyclable and biodegradable, meaning you won't be adding to the insurmountable pile of textile waste. Our entire production happens under one roof so we do our very best to keep our textile waste to a minimum through lean made-to-order production practices and by utilizing all our scraps - nothing goes to waste!
